St.
Margaret's Parish emphasizes the call of all Catholics to proclaim
the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Church to the entire world.
This is done by our parish staff with the aid of active members
of the parish. We offer Pastoral Care in the following areas:

The
bereaved are contacted at the time of a death and helped to prepare
for the wake, liturgy and committal of their loved ones. A month's
mind Mass is scheduled for the deceased and an annual Lazarus
Mass is arranged for all the dead of the the year. Contacts are
made often with the bereaved.

with disabilities (Disabilities Ministry)
We
have begun our Renewal and Restoration program mindful of persons
with disabilities. This has included making all renovations handicapped
accessible, as well as adding hearing assistance devices in the
Church and improved lighting.

Ray has built up a very stable relationship with the Jewish
Community through Judeo-Christian Marriages, and Judeo-Christian

and sisters who come to pray with us from many traditions. We
have been blessed over the years to have a number of people make
a decision to study the Roman Catholic Faith and to ask for baptism
or to come into full communion with the Church.

- Pro-life/Respect
Life Committees
The
purpose of the Pro-life/Respect Life Committee committee is to
support and promote the culture of life that our Holy Father
John Paul II has referred to. Through parish respect life committees,
the Gospel of Life becomes a living reality in communities across
the Archdiocese of Boston.
Through
ongoing prayer and education we provide the inestimable power
of intercessory prayer, life affirming referrals, and an array
of compassionate care of programs which foster reverence for
life from conception until natural death.
Working
with the support and guidance of the Pro-Life Office, our committee
works to heighten public awareness of life issues while providing
the information and loving care that celebrate the gift of life.
We at St. Margaret strive to catechize parishioners about the
Church's teaching on:
- abortion,
- capital
punishment,
- physician-assisted
suicide
- and
other life issues
through
bulletin inserts and other suggested videos from the Pro-Life
Office. Participation in Archdiocesan workshops and the Walk
for Life (both local and national) are also part of the pro-life
activity here at St. Margaret.

Our
communion calls visit
these people to help them out in whatever way they see fit. Mass
is offered for the Senior Citizens in the parish. Whenever we
become aware of dying parishioners, they are appropriately taken
care of. We are always looking for new volunteers to assist us.
